| Wrote... I worked as a home/hospital tutor(teacher)for over seven years for Spokane Schools.I worked with many chronically and terminally ill children and there parents. I hold great respect for all who must deal with intense issues daily/hourly. I have also found children to be amazingly strong, emotionally resiliant, and able to find joys in the simple things in life- like tortoises;keeping in touch with nature is so important for us all. These kids and their families are inspiring souls. Thanks to you all! Janice P.S. My daughter has a greek/russian tortoise named Professor Snape for the past 5-6 years. He's fabulous! There's nothing quite as meditative as taking your tortoise for a "walk" in nature. | |
