You have found an injured or sick turtle or tortoise.
In nature a sick or injured animal is at risk of being eaten by a predator. For this reason they only display symptoms at the very end of their illness so if you find a turtle that is sick or injured you must get that turtle to a local vet, rehabber or Wildlife Center.
Do not allow this animal to come in contact with any other wildlife or pets. Transport it in a safe and clean container. Do not release this animal without consulting an expert.
Turtle Homes will assist you to find help for this turtle. There are several ways of going about this.
