Sulcata Reality Check part 4

Housing
16. Does your fence drop down 3-6 feet below ground level to prevent your sulcata from digging out?
Yes
No

17. Do you own or lease a home with at least one acre of property?
Yes
No

18. Do you plan on sharing your home with the sulcata in the winter?
Yes
No

19. If you answered yes to question 18, do you own a shovel?
Yes
No

20. How important is your landscape to you?
a. My landscape is determined by the needs of my tortoises.
b. I like things neat but I understand that things may not work out once the sulcata is grown.
c. I measure the length of grass each week, and then catalog its progress by color, texture, growth pattern.

It isn't pretty, but it is reality. This is what will be on your floor in cold weather, and in your yard when weather permits. Sulcata can't be paper trained, and do not go in a litter box.

There used to be a very old and well- established Jade hedge here, until the sulcata decided to remove it herself.
