Shortly after our inception in August, 1999, we began to establish strategic relationships with similar rescue organizations and herpetological groups which evolved into the Turtle Homes Alliance. In essence, these organizations are participating with Turtle Homes in pursuit of our one common purpose - to help turtles and tortoises.

As we grew, we joined with even more organizations, now widely varying from zoos to conservation groups, adding further credence to our network. Subsequently, we formed an email community consisting of the leaders of these respective organizations, establishing a common meeting place for the purposes of disseminating information and fostering interaction to facilitate national and international adoptions and rescues. This email community has since evolved into a centralized hub where all of our organizations communicate with each other to further rescue and adoption efforts, ask for assistance with virtually any related situation, obtain information and advice on rehabilitations, recommendations, and more.

The Turtle Homes Alliance represents organizations, societies, groups, rescues, veterinarians, zoos, conservation establishments, and rehabilitation enterprises.

Turtle Homes believes that as this Alliance grows and more organizations join with us, the more effective we will all be in achieving our goals. As one force, with one voice, we can accomplish more together than we can separately, and have a greater, positive impact on the plight of turtles and tortoises worldwide
